Joshua J. Marcuse is the founder and President of Young Professionals in Foreign Policy (YPFP), a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization, committed to fostering the next generation of foreign policy leadership. He advises individuals and institutions on how to engage and interact with young professionals in the foreign policy community, and frequently speaks to students and recent graduates about careers in international affairs, leadership, management, entrepreneurship, and civic participation.

Established in 2004, YPFP is headquartered in Washington, DC, with branches in London, New York and Brussels. YPFP’s dynamic, international membership comprises over 2,000 selected young people united by a desire to face the world’s toughest challenges. Over 100 foreign policy leaders and experts such as Nobel prize-winning scholars, cabinet secretaries, ambassadors, think tank presidents, journalists, generals, and corporate and nonprofit leaders have addressed YPFP audiences. YPFP also has public service programs that assist refugees, work with inner-city schools, and conduct citizen diplomacy. A staff of over 120 volunteers worldwide manage YPFP’s finances, programming, membership, communications, technology, global expansion, and public service.
