Michael Sulmeyer is currently a law student at Stanford University.  Before attending law school, Michael earned a PhD from Oxford University.  He joined CSIS in 2003 as a Research Assistant in the International Security Program, and then served as Special Assistant to Principal Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Policy from 2003 to 2004.  HE left the Pentagon to begin graduate school in England on a Marshall Scholarship at the War Studies Department, King's College London before moving to Oxford.
